Crosby in action |
So Crosby, what made you change your name from Cooke & The Feedbacks to Blisseyes?
Cooke & The Feedbacks was a name I came up with so we actually had an alias to perform under when we played a gig in our flat recently. It was only ever going to be very temporary. Besides, Cook was getting too big-headed.
You have two big shows coming up, supporting LOOM in Milton Keynes and Coasts at Camden Barfly, how have the band prepared?
We've been writing a couple of new tracks, slotting them into the set and making sure our staging and setlist are as tight and well choreographed as possible. Also, we've been recording a couple of tracks with a brilliant producer from Cambridge. I think they'll be done pretty soon...
For a band that have only recently started gigging, things are moving very quickly for you..
Yea, everything's coming up Milhouse! (laughs)
What is next for Blisseyes? A tour? Signing to a record label maybe?
Such is the fickle world of the music industry you can never really predict these things, but we have a few surprises and exciting things coming up soon. It's slightly irritating, having to keep a lid on it all really, but as is the nature of the beast everything has be kept on the down-low until it's officially confirmed, but I'm sure it won't be too long!
It is clear that you have a deep love for music, where did this stem from?
Without giving you my life story; it started when I was about 6 I think, hearing my older brother, Jon, play guitar. After he introduced me loads of great music I just took it from there really and have spent the past 12 years going to gigs in small clubs and buying records from markets and proper record shops. A mix of very forward thinking pop music and centuries worth of beautiful Classical music have certainly impassioned and inspired me.
Thanks Will.
Thank you. Take it easy.
