Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons To Headline Glastonbury 2013

Glastonbury 2013
So.. as predicted, the best line up of the year is held by Glastonbury. One of the worst secrets in music festival history was finally confirmed, that The Rolling Stones will be headlining the festival, along with Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons.

With endless amounts of superb acts playing the festival, to suit all tastes, Glastonbury's final re-sale of tickets will not last long, with the demand set to be HUGE as always.. which must be frustrating for other festival organisers, who struggle to sell out festivals.

The headliners..

Arctic Monkeys

With four studio albums under their belt, the 'boys' from Sheffield seem to have grown up no end.. and their next release is due this year, can we expect new tracks at Glastonbury? Most probably!

The Rolling Stones

Mick Jagger and co have never played Glastonbury before, and they will probably never play it again, so expect fireworks from one of the best bands ever produced by Britain. The Stones released 'Doom and Gloom' last year and have sold out every single show they have played since the reunion begun.. get ready to see those moves from Jagger.

Mumford & Sons

Despite only having released two albums, Mumford & Sons have continued to grow over the last year, with latest release 'Babel' increasing their fanbase even further.. and with nobody similar to their 'folk rock' who is going to contest them?

Yes.. the headliners at Glastonbury are extremely impressive, and we knew they would be.. BUT the rest of the huge festival is what makes it what it is. Here is a small sample of the bands that you should go and see (If you are lucky enough to get a ticket)

The Vaccines
The Vaccines

The Vaccines are one of the best Rock 'n' Roll bands around at the moment.. and one of the few still creating guitar music, so it's great to see them at Glastonbury, after two album releases.

Set hits-

If You Wanna
Wreckin' Bar
No Hope

Tame Impala
Tame Impala

After the release of 'Lonerism' in October 2012, Tame Impala hit the mainstream, with their track 'Elephant' a popular favourite for television adverts. The psychedelic rock outfit from Perth, Australia are set to storm the 'Other Stage' at Glastonbury.. definitely a must-see!

Elephant
Sundown Syndrome
Feels Like We Only Go Backwards

Set hits-

Bad Blood
Flaws
Pompeii

Miles Kane
Miles Kane

Miles Kane is flying after the successful release of his debut solo album, as well as success with Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) in project 'The Last Shadow Puppets'. Miles has endless amounts of upbeat hits that'll bring out the mod in any festival go'er, check him out on the John Peel stage.

Set hits-

Peace
Peace

Lead by frontman Harrison Koisser, Peace aren't doing too bad for themselves. With lots of hype surrounding them and a debut album recently released titled 'In Love' Peace are playing the John Peel Stage and are sure to bring the classic 'Glastonbury vibe' to the festival with their psychedelic sounds.

Set hits-

Follow Baby
Bloodshake
California Daze

Johnny Marr
Johnny Marr

The ex-Smiths, Modest Mouse and Cribs guitarist is touring his first ever solo album 'The Messenger' released this year and is sure to be a hit with the Glastonbury crowd on the John Peel Stage.

It is hard to place 'set hits' on Marr as he could play anything from his array of albums.

Glastonbury Festival is set to be bigger than ever, with a truck load more of huge bands playing, as well as the array of activities at the 'arts' festival. If you can get tickets.. go.
