Should Green Day Have Released Uno! Dos! & Tre! So Close Together?

American Punk band Green Day have recently released a trilogy of albums titled Uno!, Dos! and Tre! but not everyone believes they should have done this.

Critics have highlighted the point that sales of each album have gradually declined, with Uno! selling very well, and Tre! not so. Green Day themselves have defended the decision to release all three so close to each other, raising the point that at their age (40s) they cannot afford to wait two years between each album, and why should they? Green Day had three albums worth of songs written, so if their finances are not a worry, then there is no reason why they shouldn't release them.

Billie Joe Armstrong (Vocals/Guitar) has recently been in rehabilitation for an alcohol addiction after an outburst on stage. This now seems to be behind Green Day as they prepare for a huge show at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium as well as a headline slot at Reading & Leeds festival.
