Cooke and The Feedbacks and Blanco @ Brunswick House, Cambridge

With free alcohol in full flow, the recently re-named Blanco (Formerly Gentlemen’s Club) comfortably took to the stage to perform a well rehearsed set of tracks, with a personal highlight being “Accents” from their EP ‘Everything in Colour’. After Blanco caught the crowd’s attention, Cooke and The Feedbacks took to the stage to gig for the first time together as a band, after the split of former band Neon Index. With remarkably well written lyrics, Cook (Vocals and Rhythm Guitar) and Crosby (Lead Guitar) showed their talent for a show with energy during ‘Manson’ and ‘Aggro’ yet soft Morrisey esc vocals on ‘Delicate’.

The chemistry between the psychedelic, punk band is clear with immaculate timing and even an improvised version of Swedish House Mafia’s “One” when the P.A blew, initiated by Crosby and Collin (Drums). Big things should be expected from these boys in the future, with a tour on the cards and plenty of demos recorded I predict they will be snapped up by a label in the near future.
